It’s now been over two years since Bayonetta 3 was announced. The next entry in the bewitching action series is something much anticipated by fans, but the complete radio silence has made some worry. Developer PlatinumGames has reassured people that the game is still in development and things are fine. Now, they’ve done it once again.

In an interview with Gematsu, the subject was briefly brought up among the many things happening at Platinum right now. Studio Head Atsushi Inaba gave a quick answer that echoed previous statements on the game, saying, “There’s nothing to worry about at all. There’s nothing to worry about. Things are going very well. Really, there’s nothing to worry about.”

The developer is currently going through a new transition where with a new title, called Project G.G., as well as general steps to self-publishing. They are still doing work for hire, though, with Bayonetta 3 being one of those projects. What’s taking so long, and what this game will look like when we do finally see it, is anyone’s guess. You can check the original Bayonetta in the meantime, with a recent remaster that included Vanquish, and both it and the second title are available on the Switch.
