August’s slate of releases kicks off in a big way when Beast of Reincarnation, Game Freak’s newest title, launches on August 3rd. In the meantime, pre-loading is now available, so you can download now and start playing as soon as the action RPG is live.
The developer also finally clarified the release timing. While listed for August 3rd on Steam, it will actually be available at 5 PM PST. That translates to midnight UTC on August 4th for other regions, namely Southeast Asia, Oceania, and so on.
It also provided an update on the PC requirements, noting that the previously available minimum and recommended specs had some “mistakes.” The latest are the most correct, and while the developer notes that “testing cannot cover every possible hardware configuration,” they should provide “good guidance for players.”
Besides PC, Beast of Reincarnation is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S alongside Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The story follows Emma and Koo on their mission to take out the titular Beast, which is responsible for the Blight, a cataclysmic event that ruined the world long ago.
Besides the roughly 30-hour run-time, combat has received a lot of attention, with players alternating between Sekiro-like parries and Bloom Arts unleashed by Koo. Check out our feature for all the details and why it’s looking like a big deal.
