Borderlands 2 Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary

As last week’s leak indicated, there’s new DLC for Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 called Commander Lilith and The Fight for Sanctuary. You can download it for free now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Those who don’t own the game (or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection) have until July 9th to claim it for free. After that, it will retail for $15.

Along with a crazy new enemy faction called the New Pandora Army, the heroes of Sanctuary have to deal with poison gas that’s turning people into mutated plant monsters. Old enemies will have infected variations, but there will be new enemies, a new raid boss, new locations, twists on old locations, and much more. There’s even a new loot tier called Effervescent to grind towards.

If that weren’t enough, the level cap has been raised to 80 with two additional OP Levels added. New weapons – including a gun that fires unicorns – can also be obtained. If you want to hop into the DLC immediately, then you have the choice to start a new character at level 30 and jump right in. The DLC bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3, so it might be worth your while to check out.
