That's a lot of guns and loot.

Borderlands 3

At the end of last month, we got the long-awaited third mainline game in the Borderlands franchise. Borderlands 3 was everything you could want from the series, featuring its signature humor, loot and tons upon tons of guns. It seems Take-Two and Gearbox have been rewarded well for giving the people what they want, as the game has already seen strong sales right out of the gate.

According to data from SuperData Arcade, the game has sold an estimated 3.3 million units in digital sales across all three platforms it launched on in less than a month’s time (the game launched September 27th). Within ten days of its launch, 2K Games had reported that the game had shipped upward of 5 million units in total.

Considering how the previous games in the series have continued to sell well past their launch as evergreen titles, Borderlands 3 is sure to be a smash success when it’s all said and done. And with ongoing support such as the upcoming Bloody Harvest event and dedicated loot drops, there’s plenty to come back to.
