Borderlands 3

Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 may not have the most expansive endgame at the moment but new content is on the way. Along with Mayhem 4 being added next month, there’s also Maliwan Takedown. We had previously heard about this being a new map with a new boss, new enemies and new rewards to earn.

In the most recent episode of The Borderlands Show, Gearbox revealed some more details about the same. Maliwan Takedown is essentially a four player co-op activity (which can also be soloed but with some difficulty) balanced for level 50 players. It has new enemies like the Maliwan Stealth Trooper, who can turn invisible, and a Raid Trooper variant that fires back any elemental damage that’s been absorbed.

Then there’s the boss, Wotan the Invincible – it seems to be the game’s first raid boss (“Invincible” is the terminology that Borderlands has used for past raid bosses). In terms of rewards, you can look forward to plenty of Shields, some being the best in the game. Maliwan Takedown goes live on November 21st so stay tuned for more details.
