Borderlands Mask of Mayhem

Gearbox Software has released a new teaser trailer for Borderlands, dubbed “Mask of Mayhem”. For a hardcore fan of the series, there’s a lot to discern from it. Classic Vault Hunters like Lilith and Mordecai are returning, and the new roster of heroes is seemingly confirmed.

If you look back on the character art that leaked in December 2018, some of the classes – Bot Jock, Beastmaster, and Operative – can be seen front and centre. We even see twins standing menacingly, with rumours pegging them as the new antagonists this time around. Suffice it to say, if this isn’t Borderlands 3 or the next major sequel, we’d be mighty surprised.

The reveal will be coming at Gearbox’s panel during PAX East tomorrow at 2 PM EST. Among other teases we’ve had in the last few days is one for a possible Switch port for Borderlands 2. Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for Xbox One, PS4, and PC was also outed by the ESRB recently. Stay tuned for more details.
