Bungie to Issue Bans for Network Manipulation in Destiny’s Crucible

Lag switchers beware.

Destiny Iron Banner

The Iron Banner is back in town for Bungie’s Destiny and as before, it’s replete with lag and other issues that bring the experience down for everyone. Teleporting opponents, enemies that won’t die, being shot behind walls and so on do occur in the Crucible but it’s always worse in the Iron Banner.

The biggest offenders are lag switchers and those who purposely manipulate their settings in order to gain an advantage. Though this has been a major complaint in Destiny’s PvP, Bungie hasn’t addressed it much till now.

Speaking out on Twitter, Bungie stated that, “Bans for network manipulation are being issued in the Crucible. More details tomorrow in the Weekly Update.”

This will certainly be an improvement for the game’s PvP mode since the Iron Banner is pretty much a regular activity and one of the central modes – Trials of Osiris – relies on strong connectivity. What are your thoughts on the bans? Let us know in the comments.
