Treyarch already confirmed the PS4 date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout beta quite recently. The mode, of course, introduces battle royale to the series for the first time. What with the beta kicking off on PS4 on September 10th, many assumed that PC and Xbox One would follow a week later. Thankfully, other platform owners won’t have to wait that long.
Players who pre-ordered the game can hop into the beta on September 14th, 10 AM PT/1 PM ET for Xbox One and PC. Everyone else will receive access on September 15th, so if you didn’t preorder the title, you don’t need to worry much. If you still have the Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta, it will update to the Blackout beta next month automatically, so don’t delete it.
Activision has confirmed that the Blackout beta will support solo players, duos, and groups of four players called quads. However, the number of players per match, the size of the map and whatnot have yet to be revealed. At this time, we know that vehicles across land, sea, and air will be controllable, but that’s more or less it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
