Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4_00

Call of Duty is no longer a day-one deal for Game Pass, a fact proudly proclaimed by Xbox, but PlayStation may once again be the best platform, at least visually. A new PlayStation Blog post delved into details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Kill Block and how the new multiplayer mode works. But right at the end, it confirmed 4K visuals, 120 Hz HFR (High Frame Rate) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for the PS5 and PS5 Pro.

That’s besides the usual adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, 3D audio, HDR, Remote Play and Low Energy Mode support. On PS5 Pro, you can expect Upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, resulting in better image quality and improved fidelity at 120 Hz and 60 Hz. If that wasn’t enough, enabling 120 HZ with VRR will provide an unlocked frame rate, which the more competitive-minded may enjoy.

At this point, the only real competitor for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on PS5 Pro will be the PC version, and given some of the changes coming to visual recoil, even that may be up in the air. It’s out on October 23rd for current-gen platforms, with advanced campaign access coming October 16th for those who pre-order. In the meantime, head here to learn more about the Dreadnought, Aston Martin’s specially designed armored SUV for use in DMZ.
