Activision has released the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with story gameplay snippets, “Shock and Awe” and clever quips by Captain Price. Though it’s a “soft reboot” of Infinity Ward’s franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare still offers tons of explosions and chaos. Check out the trailer below.
Not a whole lot is known about the story save for Captain Price and his team pursuing some baddies in a contemporary setting. Infinity Ward has promised a more realistic, gritty story that won’t shy away from the consequences of war. You can check out more gameplay from the campaign here and judge for yourself.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. New details for Spec Ops mode are expected soon though we know it consists of co-op missions across different maps. There’s also Spec Ops Survival, a Horde-based mode against increasingly challenging foes (which attracted some controversy for being timed exclusive content to the PS4 until October 2020).
