Call of Duty Warzone

Fresh off gameplay footage and details leaking for Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has released an official trailer for the free to play battle royale title. It launches tomorrow for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out how it looks below.

Unlike Blackout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Warzone is a standalone title. It supports 150 players on a huge map filled with vehicles and weapons. As the trailer reveals, there are two key game modes – Plunder, which involves gathering cash and transporting it home and Battle Royal, which is every team for themselves.

The trailer doesn’t say anything about the Gulag or bounties but expect those details to drop over the next several hours. Such a sudden release for a multiplayer title is nothing new – see EA’s launch of Apex Legends. We don’t know anything about the monetization for Call of Duty: Warzone but expect microtransactions and a seasonal battle pass of some kind.
