Capcom has announced it will be hosting a Spotlight showcase event on June 25th, 2026, at 2 PM PDT. The event will be available to watch through Twitch and YouTube, headlined by three games – Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. Celebrating the Capcom Spotlight, the company has released a short 14-second teaser, which you can check out below.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a turn-based RPG spin-off of the mainline Monster Hunter franchise. It was released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 back in March, and has seen a positive reception thanks to its gameplay and story elements. Capcom had previously confirmed that it would be adding more endgame elements to the title, and this upcoming Spotlight will likely be where it provides more details on the addition of Royal monsters to the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is going to be an expansion for the 2024 open-world RPG. It was officially announced earlier this month, alongside a confirmation that it will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Among the new content in the expansion will be the region of Norgan – a snow-covered place where players can get their hands on new gear, weapons, and skills. Fans of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 combat system will also find plenty to enjoy with the addition of new dragon bosses.

It is worth noting that the original Dragon’s Dogma’s Dark Arisen expansion had introduced an incredible amount of new content to the game, essentially giving the cult-classic RPG new life across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Whether the Dark Arisen coming to Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be of similar scale during its Spotlight showcase or not remains to be seen.

Two of the three games headlining the Capcom Spotlight will revolve around expansions and additional content. However, the third one will be an entirely new game altogether – Onimusha: Way of the Sword. As Capcom gets ready for its September launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, rumors have indicated that the company might be pulling up its release date from the previously-planned September 25th to a new September 4th launch.

This release date would have the effect of pulling Onimusha: Way of the Sword further away from the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto 6 – a title expected to take up just about everyone’s time and attention away from anything else that might be happening in the gaming industry. It also gives gamers more time to appreciate other titles coming out in September, including Remedy’s Control Resonant and Konami’s Silent Hill: Townfall.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be the first entry in the franchise since 2006’s Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, marking two entire decades where the franchise has remained dormant. Over the last ten years, however, Capcom has tried its hand at bringing the series back into the limelight with the release of Onimusha: Warlords Remastered in 2018 and Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny Remastered in 2025.
