Capcom apologised today over failing to properly communicate clearly when Ibuki would be released as a DLC character for Street Fighter 5. “We’ll be the first to admit that we can improve our communication with the community, in terms of where our priorities lie around the game and status updates. We plan to change that in the coming weeks and months and will work to quickly address topics that come up in the community as best we can,” Capcom stated in a recent Capcom Unity blog post on Ibuki.

Capcom had initially implied that Ibuki would be available as DLC addon to Street Fighter 5 players  by the end of May, however the initial announcement on Capcom Unity made no specific mention of a release date.

The June 2nd update had this to say about the revised launch schedule: “To reiterate, we are currently aiming for the last week of June to release both Ibuki and the Cinematic Story Mode.” Are you excited about getting to play as Ibuki in Street Fighter 5? Let us know!
