Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Several months after his appearance in Super Mario Odyssey, Captain Toad will be arriving soon in his own adventure. Nintendo’s Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker originally released for the Wii U but is heading to the Nintendo Switch and 3DS in July. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below which is from the Switch version of the game.

Unlike Mario, Captain Toad’s adventures are more puzzle-like. Levels are like mazes and manipulating the environment, on top of using different items, is necessary to progress forward. Toad isn’t alone on this adventure as Toadette can also be controlled after a point.

If you’re wondering about differences with the Wii U version, then Nintendo has promised new Super Mario Odyssey-inspired courses. How many there are has yet to be confirmed but New Donk City can be spotted in the latest gameplay trailer. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is out on July 13th for Switch and 3DS.
