Children of Morta

Action RPG roguelite Children of Morta is one of the more underappreciated games of the year. And if you’ve finished it while wondering what’s next, there’s good news. Dead Mage and publisher 11 bit Studios have released a development roadmap for upcoming content updates. These include a paid expansion down the line.

Some of the free content includes the Shrine of Challenge for a tougher difficulty; new items including Charms, Divine Relics and Divine Graces; New Game Plus mode courtesy of the Setting Sun Inn; and a new playable character. Online co-op will also be coming courtesy of the Fellowship Sanctuary. There’s even a “random encounter” with the developer stating, “You’ll never know what you might find here!”

But wait, there’s more. Temple of the Endless will offer an endless onslaught of enemies, mini-bosses and a completely new boss with support for online co-op. The Treasure update will also add another 30 new items which means more Divine Graces, Divine Relics and Charms. The Uncharted Lands is the paid expansion and will feature a new quest, home event, new enemies, a new boss and another new character to play as.

No release dates have been provided but more information is likely coming in the New Year. Stay tuned for more details. Children of Morta is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
