Developer BigFire Games and publisher NCSoft have released the first gameplay trailer for upcoming MMO shooter Cinder City. The trailer, which you can check out below, was showcased during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, and provides a good variety of gameplay, from single-player to large-scale multiplayer battles.

The gameplay showcased in the trailer features some fast-paced third-person action with the player having access to a vast arsenal of weapons. The title will also seemingly provide plenty of options for traversal, from a jetpack to aid in jumping across rooftops, to a fast bike to drive through the post-apocalyptic streets of Seoul, Korea.

When it comes to combat, we get to see the player take on what appear to be zombies, as well as human enemies that are equipped with immensely powerful futuristic weaponry and other equipment. The single player story of Cinder City will seemingly take on more survival horror vibes, since the design of the creatures fought in the trailer are appropriately disturbing.

On the multiplayer side of things, it looks like players will have plenty of customisation options for their characters. Along with regular human soldiers, the multiplayer parts also showed off players taking on the role of robots as battles are fought against epic enemies, including giant mechs. There will also seemingly be vehicular combat, both ground-based and aerial.

Cinder City is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and will be coming out in 2026. Also check out details about the PC version supporting Nvidia’s current-gen suite of RTX and DLSS technologies.
