Concrete Genie

PixelOpus’ Concrete Genie may have been delayed to later this year, but that means we can expect even more features in the game at launch. In a recent PlayStation Blog post, San Mateo Studio creative director Jeff Brown discussed the two special modes that PlayStation VR players would be getting.

The first is VR Experience, where players will investigate the area beneath Denska’s lighthouse with a genie named Splotch. Players will use the Living Paint in a “completely new way”, while working to unlock a strange power. The second mode is VR Free Paint Mode, and it’s exactly what the name indicates.

It allows players to use Living Paint and Genie creation brushes acquired during the main game to paint with. There are four different locations to exercise your artistic freedom. Two PlayStation Move motion controllers are required though, so keep that in mind. Concrete Genie will be releasing exclusively for PlayStation in Fall 2019. Stay tuned for more information on a concrete release date.
