Remedy Entertainment’s next game is looking… quite odd. Well, very odd, but in the best possible way. They’ve been releasing developer diary videos to highlight aspects of the game. Today we get a look at the game’s overarching enemy, The Hiss, and how you fight back against them.

In the video below, they highlight that The Hiss is an entity of some kind that has taken over the facility that the main character works at. It has the ability to possess and alter people into monstrosities that you have to fight through. They break down several different types of Hiss you’ll face, such as the tank-like Tempest. You must use the various weapons and reality-bending abilities to survive and figure out how to stop The Hiss for good. The video even briefly mentions boss fights, the first we’ve heard of them, and how you’ll need use an accumulation of what you’ve learned to that point to survive.

Control will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27th. Check out the developer diary below.
