Crackdown 3 Has Made Progress, But There’s Still More Work To Do – Phil Spencer

Microsoft boss says the open world title's development is progressing nicely.

Crackdown 3 has had a pretty troubled development. Originally announced in 2014, the game was supposed to launch two years later- obviously, that didn’t happen. It got delayed multiple times, until finally, with its previous delay, Microsoft confirmed that the game would be launching in February of next year.

However, given its multiple delays, there’ve been some doubts over whether the game will turn out as well as people want it to. Xbox boss Phil Spencer, though, says the game’s development is progressing nicely. He was prompted on Twitter by a fan who expressed their desire for Crackdown 3, and Spencer admitted that though the game still needs some work, based on the build that he played quite recently, the development team has been doing good work. “My agent felt like the wrecking machine I enjoy,” he added as well.

Apparently, if reports are to be believed, the last time Crackdown 3 got delayed was the final time Microsoft were willing to do so, and if that need should arise again, the game will probably get cancelled. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Crackdown 3 is due out on February 26, 2019 for the Xbox One and PC.
