Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Beat Horizon’s Launch Week Sales in UK

Remastered trilogy is now biggest single-format launch of 2017.

If it seems expected that Activision’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy did well in the UK Charts, then you’ll be interested to hear that it actually beat out Horizon: Zero Dawn’s first week sales.

This is according to Games Industry’s Chris Ding on Twitter who noted that, “More people bought Crash Bandicoot in its first week (UK) than Horizon Zero Dawn, making it the biggest single-format launch of the year.” This is also the first time that Crash Bandicoot secured a number 1 spot in the UK charts.

It’s not all that strange when you consider that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy retails for $40, offering three remastered titles for that price. Crash’s popularity in the PlayStation One will have also no doubt catered to the vast hardcore base currently on PS4.
