40. Microsoft backtracks on DRM policy – announces that Xbox One will not be region-locked or need authenticating. Day one patch needed. Family Sharing plan dropped. Kinect still always on.
After much ruckus, Microsoft finally listened to the consumers and they decided that the DRM policy wasn’t in the best interest of the company. They further announced that Xbox One will not be region-locked or need authenticating. Though there will be a day one patch that will be needed. However the much touted Family Sharing plan was dropped like a hot potato.
