56. Xbox One Kinect camera no longer needs to be always on, unless specifically required for some games.
The Xbox One’s Kinect camera won’t have to be on all times, Microsoft announced. This helped reduce concerns about privacy and being snooped on significantly, especially in the wake of recent scandals involving the NSA. Microsoft stated that you can either switch Kinect off using voice commands or you can unplug it, and that it wouldn’t be necessary unless some games demand. The good news is, unless you specifically buy a title in the Kinect franchise of games, you’ll be able to enjoy Battlefield 4, Dead Rising 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts without any worries since their their motion-controls are optional.
