Sony went ahead and announced the release date of the PS4 at its Gamescom 2013 press conference, finally revealing just what “Holidays 2013” meant. To that end, it was announced that the PS4 would launch in 32 countries including the United States, Canada, UK, Brazil, Sweden and many more – especially in countries where the Xbox One would be delayed in or not release at all on launch day. While North American users could own the console on November 15th 2013, European gamers could pick it up on November 29th 2013. It would later be revealed that Japanese gamers would need to wait a bit longer to usher in the new generation.
