97. Issues over Xbox One’s eSRAM arise. Conflicting reports within the developer community, some stating it is not a bottleneck whereas some saying otherwise.
A lot of issues have arisen over the Xbox One’s eSRAM, with some stating that it was the reason for the lower native resolutions of Xbox One games. Given that the Xbox One was to be used for other functions along with gaming, eSRAM made sense to Microsoft at the time. Also, many developers had worked on ways to get around eDRAM on the Xbox 360 and it would only be a matter of time before eSRAM was figured out as well. Some developers, including Below developer Capybara Games, stated that the eSRAM wasn’t a bottleneck at all.
