Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown Trailer Details Boss Rush, Strongholds, Naval Combat, and More

Turn previously liberated strongholds into businesses or create new ones from scratch on uncharted islands in the upcoming DLC.

With Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC out next week following a two-week delay, Pearl Abyss released a new overview trailer outlining what to expect. It not only confirms some long-suspected additions but also teases new boss fights. Check it out below.

For starters, the new ship must be crafted first, with options to customize the stern, bow and hull. You can also equip it with cannons that will come in handy for naval combat, especially against threats like ghostly ships. The developer also revealed that you can build your own strongholds on the new islands and turn them into seaports by assigning Greymanes to the location.

Perhaps even cooler is that the strongholds liberated in Pywel can become legitimate businesses. After assigning someone with the relevant skills, you can equip them, hire staff and start offering services, whether it’s a restaurant, tailor, or something else. Of course, even more underwater species have been revealed, and you can turn the A.T.A.G. into a pseudo-submarine for deep-sea diving.

And if that wasn’t enough, boss rush is officially inbound. You can challenge sets of previously vanquished foes to consecutive battles for worthwhile rewards, and some really tough customers await. Hope you’re well-versed in facing the Antumbra Order.

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown launches on October 29th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our previous feature for even more details.
