Crimson Desert is still several weeks away, but a lot has already been revealed so far. If it isn’t the Features Overview series, then it’s through interviews with marketing and strategic planning expert Will Powers. However, there are still several unknowns, including about the story and performance on console.
While Powers previously said there are reasons for not going into these details right away, it seems that some fans can be a little more demanding than others. Hence, he took to Twitter to outright state, “The second people start demanding info… ‘you NEED to tell me this’, etc… You’re ignored.
“Entitlement is a plague on fandoms. I’ve been incredibly transparent, and will continue to. If I’m not talking about something, it’s because there’s likely a plan to talk about it later.”
Obviously, the plot is only one thing that players are curious about, but the same extends to potential post-release support. Powers said that Pearl Abyss is focusing on the launch version and that the team may add more if the “appetite is there.” If a plan is in place – and it seems likely, given the developer’s experience with Black Desert – then it makes sense to reveal more shortly before or after launch.
Crimson Desert launches on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It crossed two million wishlists in the month again and is likely even higher. For more details, check out our feature.
