Crimson Desert’s Latest Update Weaponizes Kitchen Utensils, Adds Barbers to Major Cities, and More

Non-DLC owners can also expect three new Legendary insects, new placeable house objects, and increased stack size for all items.

Charting the Unknown is the real appeal for those returning to Crimson Desert after…well, its massive 2.0 update last August. While Pearl Abyss has detailed the expansion, the base game has also changed a lot.

For example, you can now share Knowledge with NPCs through the Chat option, thus increasing their trust. A storage box dedicated entirely to insects is also available, and you can now collect three new Legendary insects. Those who wanted more leeway for changing their hairstyles can now find a barbershop in all the major cities.

If you’ve ever sat around camp and wondered why things like the Frying Pan or Kitchen Knife can’t be used in combat, well, now they can. You can also purchase new house objects, including puppy cushions, flowerbeds and cat watchtowers. If ever there’s a reason to revisit the game, this is it.

Of course, there are other improvements, including Counter attack animation improvements, reduced startup times when using Oongka’s Scatter Shot or Damiane’s Shield Toss, and trade routes now appearing on the map at all times. The map can also zoom out even further than before (which makes sense considering how much larger it’s become with the expansion). Check out the full patch notes here for more details.
