Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK have announced that Cris Tales, their RPG inspired by the likes of Valkyrie Profile, will be out in July. It will release for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia at $39.99. An overview trailer was also released, explaining the basic premise and gameplay.

The story focuses on Crisbell, a young girl who’s recently gained Time Mage powers. This allows her to view the past, present and future at once. Together with various allies, she embarks on a journey to defeat the Time Empress and ultimately rewrite the world’s future into something more positive.

Sporting gorgeous hand-drawn 2D visuals, Cris Tales offers branching storylines and decisions along with timing-based combat. One can also utilize their power over time to affect the present and gain an advantage in battle. A demo for the game is available now to try out – stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
