Cronos The New Dawn

If it wasn’t enough to have Remedy showcasing new gameplay from Alan Wake 2’s The Lake House DLC, Bloober Team revealed its next big game at the recent Xbox Partner Preview showcase – Cronos: The New Dawn. It’s a sci-fi third-person survival horror title set in a seemingly post-apocalyptic world that’s out in 2025. Check out the first trailer below.

The apparent protagonist walks around in a fortified suit, fighting off horrific enemies. The footage alternates between him also playing chess with an old woman while covered in blood. By the end, he pushes the chessboard aside and uses a strange device on her (which isn’t shown).

The footage indicates potential gameplay elements, like destructible environments and a weapon that transforms from a gun into a melee weapon. It ends with a destroyed building in the distance and a mutated creature composed of multiple bodies.

Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for further details on other platforms.
