The upcoming RPG is, unsurprisingly, not recommended for those under 18 years of age.

Cyberpunk 2077

In mid-March, CD Projekt RED sent Cyberpunk 2077 to several ratings agencies across the world. It was expected to only be fit for those over the age of 18 years. Lo and behold, the developer didn’t disappoint. Classificação Indicativa, Brazil’s advisory rating board, saw its rating for the FPS/RPG leak and while the listing has since been removed, Reddit user JordhanMK managed to grab all the details.

Due to the extreme nature of the content, we won’t provide a full summary of the mature content in-game. However, one can expect criminal actions, violent acts, body injuries, blood, “intentional” death, mutilation, suicide and cruelty. And remember, that’s most of the violent content in the game.

CD Projekt RED is no stranger to mature subject matter in its games (see: The Witcher 3) but it’s definitely going all-out here. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on September 17th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It’s been confirmed for IGN’s Summer of Gaming digital event so expect new details and/or gameplay footage in June.
