CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is finally, finally available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. The FPS/RPG had its share of development issues and delays over the past several months. But the hype for the title has always been strong, as indicated by the number of pre-orders.
Over on the developer’s investor relations Twitter, it confirmed that eight million pre-orders have been received for Cyberpunk 2077. How these are divided between physical and digital sales, along with total units shipped, is still unknown. Still, it’s a huge success for the developer.
This isn’t the end by any means though. Along with future updates that will further improve performance and quash bugs, Cyberpunk 2077 will also receive free DLC and paid expansions. More details are coming next year but it seems that the free DLC will begin rolling out in early 2021. Multiplayer is also coming at some point so stay tuned.
