Darksiders Genesis

The Darksiders series has been one of the best and most welcome IP revivals over the last few years. We’re still a few games away from actually progressing the story past that first big cliffhanger of the original Darksiders. Well, we’re going even farther into the past with Darksiders Genesis. Today, we got a look at the beginning of the spin-off, and it’s looking pretty good.

The game will allow you to play as either War or Strife, with the latter debuting as playable in the series for the first time. While the game has a top down look similar to the Diablo series, it plays closer to a 3D fighter with air juggles and combos. The final preview comes via IGN and gives you a good idea of what to expect, check it out below.

Darksiders Genesis will release on PC and Google Stadia December 5th with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch February 14th 2020.
