Days Gone isn’t out yet, but previews for the game are, and reception on the whole has been glowing and very positive. It’s this positive reception that Sony is using to sell you on Bend’s upcoming open world zombie survival action game—which when put like that seems like a hodgepodge of AAA tropes sort of smashed together, but as Sony is promising, it’s more than just that.

The trailer, which you can see for yourself below, is mostly discussing the positive feedback the game has gotten so far, which I think is reason enough for those on the fence to consider that their misgivings about the game may be unfounded. We also get to see footage of the game, though on that front, at least, there’s nothing new here—it’s just more of the same.

Personally, I am excited about Days Gone, because the prospect of a zombie action game with real survival mechanics set in an open world is intriguing enough to me. Plus by now, we know Sony doesn’t put out stinkers.

You can check out the trailer for yourself below; if you haven’t already, make sure to catch up on the news about the game’s newly announced Photo Mode as well.
