Days Gone’s Update 1.03 Is A Hefty One

It's a 17 GB+ download.

days gone

Days Gone is merely days away from launch, but though the developers obviously wrapped up development on it a while back, they were, as is always the case, still working to iron out bugs and kinks. Many of these will apparently be addressed with a day one patch, which has now been rolled out (via Reddit)- and it’s a heavy one, too.

Update 1.03 is apparently 17.2 GB in size (though one user on Reddit reports a 21.42 GB download size). Though we don’t have detailed patch notes yet, Reddit users say it fixes bug issues (of which there seem to be plenty), as well as issues to do with localization.

The hefty size of the update would indeed indicate that there are plenty of bugs to iron out. This, by the way, is in addition to the 67 GB install size of the base game we reported earlier, so all in all, that day one download is going to be a pretty big one. Clear up some space on your PS4.

Days Gone is out April 26 exclusively for the PS4, and reviews for the game will be going live a day before on the 25th. Sony recently put out a video talking about the perils of its harsh open world- take a look through here.
