When DayZ first debuted as a mod for Arma 2, it had us excited. An open world game where you could go and do anything you wanted, but filled with zombies and the challenges of trying to survive – what’s not to love? This influenced the release of DayZ as a standalone game, which has been in development since just about forever. Fortunately, the game is finally available as an early access build on Steam for $19.99. Check out the trailer for the same above.
But when we say “early access build”, we mean it. The developer outright states on the listing that the game is still in alpha form and that players shouldn’t purchase it unless they are interested in actively supporting development and prepared to deal with serious issues. That of course includes pre-mature halting of your zombie massacring escapades.
