Dead Space 3 Kinect Video Outlines Voice Command Features

Visceral Games executive producer Steve Papoutsis takes on a tour of the Kinect features.

Dead Space 3 looks friggin’ scary. Maybe not to the same extent as the previous games in the franchise as it seems to de-emphasize psychological horror for a more action-based approach, but the Necromorphs are as grotesque and intimidating as ever. As part of incorporating gamers into the experience, Visceral Games has added Kinect support for the Xbox 360 version. In a new video for the game, Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis talks about the voice commands that will be available, including features to help players share ammo and resources.

It would’ve been nice to see the bonuses for swearing and Kinect taking pictures of us at our most freaked out moments, but one can never get everything that they want.

Published by Electronic Arts, Dead Space 3 will be releasing for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 5th 2013 with a PC release on February 7th in North America. Sleep tight till then – you’ll be needing it for the long nights ahead.
