Despite jobs being cut at High Moon Studios with Deadpool’s development winding down, publisher Activision has confirmed that the third person action adventure featuring Marvel Comics’ self-aware and murderous anti-hero will be releasing on June 25th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Retail specific pre-order bonuses have also been announced, with GameStop and EB Games getting the “Merc with a Map Pack” DLC that adds two new maps – the GRT Plaza and Inside the Tower – for the game’s Challenge mode, along with two costume additions – the D-Pooly and Uncanny X-Force – which can be used in the unlockable Infinite mode. There will also be an exclusive digital wallpaper made available.

Even more interestingly, there will be a midnight launch party paid for by Activision at the US GameStop with the most pre-orders.

For Amazon customers, there’ll be $5 credit, and an exclusive digital wallpaper and cover sleeve. And…that’s it really. Stay tuned for the merc with the mouth’s video game this Summer.
