Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding looked pretty gorgeous in its Gamescom 2019 showing, even if the content – from the character profiles of Mama and Deadman to the reveal of the so-called “Ludens Fan” – was a little weird. An additional trailer called “Briefing” was shown behind closed doors at the PlayStation Booth, however. For those curious, an off-screen recording has leaked.

Amelie and Die Hardman are present in this trailer with the latter describing Sam’s mission to reconnect the United Cities of America. This will be done by traveling to various Chiral Network terminals and bringing them back into the Chiral Web. Though there wasn’t too much action, it does offer a clearer idea of the game’s premise. More details on the trailer can be seen here.

Interestingly, Sam doesn’t want to take up the mission or get involved with either entity or “anyone else, ever again”. If you really want to see a better quality version of the trailer, don’t worry – it’ll be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2019 in September. Meanwhile, Death Stranding is out on November 8th for PS4.
