Death Stranding Gameplay Trailer Shows off Its Terrifying Elements

Okay Kojima, how messed up are you really?

Death Stranding

At long last – at very long last – we finally got to see gameplay footage for Death Stranding. We were shown off the game’s bleak but beautiful world, with some traversal options (such as climbing), all against the backdrop of the hauntingly enchanting “Asylum for the Feeling”, before the more horrifying elements of the game finally revealed themselves in the footage- or rather, didn’t reveal themselves. They were enemies that made their presence felt, but were invisible. The best kinds of horrifying.

Except-! It seems like those baby fueled lamps that we’ve been seeing? They reveal those enemies by their light (which will make this a terrifying game to play at night, I can promise you that). It seems like Kojima has gone all in on his horror aspirations with this game. It is no holds barred a horror game through and through- and the real psychological kind of horror, not the jump scare that most games seem to go for.
