The unsettling beauty of a creative mind finally unrestricted, Death Stranding’s gameplay was shown off at E3 2018 and we still honestly aren’t much closer towards understanding what this game is. Following that showcase from the conference, Hideo Kojima stopped over at PlayStation Blog to reveal a few more details and art for the game. Including some gorgeous posters and screenshots that I really need to be real.
With the surprise introduction of the involvements of actresses Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner, we now know not only the lengths that Kojima will go to in order to see his vision through, by scanning Wagner to create a younger version of her for the game, but also that there will be even more cast members which have yet to be revealed. The two women join Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, giving the game some serious star power already.
Kojima also explained that the closest representation to how the game will actually play came from the first half and last sequence of the demo, touting that Reedus’ character, the player, isn’t a gruff military type, but a normal blue collar guy, setting him apart from any game heroes you’ve seen before. Death Stranding still has no release window, but perhaps the art below can help hold you over.
