Did you happen to not really dig the gameplay of Death Stranding, but really loved the world and story Kojima Productions crafted? Well, you aren’t alone there as it wasn’t a game for everyone for sure, and if you happen to read Japanese you’re in luck, because the story without the actual game is available in novel form as of today.
The novelization of Death Stranding is available now in Japan and has been spotted in the wild. It is divided into two parts and is written by Kenji Yano under the pen name Hitori Nojima. As of now, it’s only available in Japanese with no word yet on when an English translation will come. Publisher Shinchosha also said that a steelbook version of the novel will come in February which is…kind of odd, but the game was incredibly popular in Japan so I guess we’ll roll with it.
Death Stranding is available now for PlayStation 4 with a PC version coming in 2020. Keep your eyes open for a December update next month that will address some quality of life issues.
