Death Stranding

Thought the dead whales and Norman Reedus in Death Stranding, the newest game from Kojima Productions, was just for effect? The man himself has confirmed to Eurogamer that the PS4 and PC title will indeed have these and that the trailer is actually “representative” of the full game.

“It is representative. What you see [in the trailer] will be in the game.”

Kojima also confirmed that there are plenty of hints and clues to find in the trailer. “There are a lot of hints in there, hidden. The world having this discussion about what this teaser means was kind of the objective. That’s what I wanted to happen.

“The game will take a little more time to be completed, but the game for me has already started. I am going back and forth with the users, having this interaction, this connection with the people, this discussion.” Of course, saying anything more “would be like telling you who’s the killer in a mystery novel.”

Other details that Kojima revealed include the baby not being a clone of Reedus’ character and the tags on Reedus’ neck actually meaning something. He also said that the trailer isn’t a dig at Konami. “As for Konami? I thought people might link it but there’s no connection in there,” he said.

Though Death Stranding isn’t in full production just, that will occur when the game engine has been chosen which should be “very soon.” Thoughts on the game thus far and what it all means? Let us know below.
