Deathloop launched as a PS5 console exclusive in September last year, with its exclusivity deal having been signed between Sony and Bethesda before the latter was acquired by Microsoft. Of course, seeing as the first person shooter has been developed that’s now owned by Xbox, it was only a matter of time before it headed to Microsoft’s platform as well. It seems that time is soon approaching.

As spotted by a user on Reddit, it seems Deathloop recently popped up on the Xbox Store. More specifically, an image of the game with a pre-order option was featured on the store, indicating that it might soon be launching for Xbox Series X/S.

Deathloop’s timed exclusivity period for PS5 was a year long, with it being confirmed before it launched that the period would end on September 14, 2022– which, incidentally, is today. How soon it’ll be before the game launches for Xbox remains to be seen, but it’s likely to be sooner rather than later. Of course, as is the case with all first party Xbox titles, the game will probably be available via Xbox Game Pass as well.

Deathloop is currently available for PS5 and PC. In our review of the game, we gave it a score of 7/10, saying, “If your prefer your time-looping adventures to be more stylish and violence-oriented, then Deathloop may be for you. Even with its various issues, there is satisfaction to be had in learning each map and completing the perfect series of assassinations.” You can read the full review through here.
