Recently, it was leaked by a retailer that Dead Ialand: Riptide will be releasing in April next year and that it will have a special edition that offers some bonus content.

Deep Silver has now confirmed that the Techland developed sequel to the surprise hit Dead Island will indeed release in April 2013- April 23, to be precise. For the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. No, no Wii U release.

The special edition of the game will include, in Deep Silver’s words, “a pack of exclusive weapon mods (for more creative undead destruction!), a digital strategy map (for the best expert advice on how to own the approaching hordes!), and a unique character skin (looks good and helpful for recognition among the undead).”

The special edition will be sold till stocks last.
