How does the same rumour keep coming up, despite not a lick of information by From Software? That’s the nature of rumours at times – some of them refuse to die. Like the rumour that Demon’s Souls 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 4.

On the PlayStation Blog, Atlus PR manager John Hardin confirmed that it’s just not happening. “PS Blog Exclusive: can 100% confirm there will NOT be a Demon Souls 2.”

How did the rumour start? There’s been rumours for a while now that Sony is looking to create a successor to From Software’s Demon’s Souls. This doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be Demon’s Souls 2. It could in fact be a whole new game in the same vein, much like how Dark Souls is a spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls.

Whatever it may be called though, if it’s Demon’s Souls 2, it’s not coming to the PS4. Stay tuned for more updates on the same and on From Software’s upcoming Dark Souls 2.
