Rumours and speculation about a remaster or remake of Demon’s Souls on the PS4 have been popping up here and there for a couple of years now, with many speculating that Bluepoint Games are working on the game. These rumours have been so numerous, in fact, that people have more or less become convinced that a Demon’s Souls remaster is inevitable, even in the absence of anything coming to us from official channels to hint at the same.
And now, a new development has fanned those flames yet again. Former IGN editor Colin Moriarty has been known to be privy to insider Sony information in the past, and recently, while discussing the recent State of Play in his Sacred Symbols podcast, Moriarty hinted at a Demon’s Souls remaster yet again, saying that he was sure it was going to be announced this time, and though he isn’t sure what exactly Sony is waiting for, it’s still very much in the pipeline.
“There was one game in particular, a remaster coming out for PlayStation 4, that I thought they were going to announce today, but they didn’t,” said Moriarty. “I don’t know what they are waiting for with that one. Let’s just say the soul still burns with that one.”
With this current generation winding down and the next one looming on the horizon, one would think time is running out for Sony to make an announcement as big as this one. Here’s hoping it ends up happening soon, if it does indeed happening. Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you posted on any new info that comes our way.
