The Dark Souls franchise became a meghit, selling incredibly well, putting developer FromSoftware on the map (even allowing them to create other games on their name alone), and spawning what is essentially its own genre of action RPGs. But before there was Dark Souls, there was Demon’s Souls. A PS3-exclusive title that preceded From’s star franchise and served as the basis for it in many ways. It was announced the game would get a remake for PS5 from Bluepoint games, and today we got a big new screenshot, literally.

We’ve seen a few screenshots already, and those who are familiar with the original PS3 release have already noted a pretty big difference in how the remake looks. Here’s another showing the incredible Tower Knight boss that fans will find familiar. It also goes to highlight, again, the stylisitic difference between what Bluepoint is doing with this new hardware.

Demon’s Souls will release at some point exclusively for PlayStation 5.
