Destiny 2 - Season of the Deep

The latest “This Week in Destiny” didn’t provide much news or announcements from Bungie regarding Destiny 2. It makes sense considering the lull in Season of the Deep, with most reveals likely being reserved for next month’s Showcase. However, it did confirm that a new Developer Insights was coming this week.

It involves updates to Masterworking currencies from the Economy team, who will also cover Season 22 Ritual Activity weapons. There are concerns over what this could mean, especially for those who have hoarded tons of Enhancement Cores and Upgrade Modules, but who knows? It could be a much-needed simplification like the crafting system received.

Stay tuned for more details later this week. Destiny 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. The Final Shape is its next expansion and will conclude the Light and Darkness Saga (with Cayde-6 playing some unknown role). There will be more details on August 22nd during Bungie’s next Showcase.
