Bungie’s beta for Destiny 2 is now live, three days earlier than the open beta phase, for those who pre-ordered on PlayStation 4. Players are reporting “Termite” error codes but have begun to enter the beta since it went live.
The Destiny 2 beta features a decent array of content, including the first story mission “Homecoming”. From there, you can try the objective-based Countdown mode in Crucible or return to Control which sees some changes from the first game. Co-op players can take part in The Inverted Spire Strike and of course, there’s a ton of new weapons, gear and classes like the Dawnblade to try out.
Destiny 2’s early access beta will be going live on July 19th for Xbox One pre-orders. The open beta launches for everyone on July 21st and ends on July 23rd. In the meantime, Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for consoles with the PC version arriving on October 24th. And if you’re on PC, don’t worry – you’ll be able to try out the beta in late August.
