Destiny 2 Forsaken Gambit

Bungie’s latest (and not exactly greatest) cinematic for Destiny 2 was showcased yesterday. Cayde-6’s last stand kicks off the Forsaken storyline as players hunt down Uldren Sov and the Barons responsible for his death. However, players can also spend time in the new PvEvP mode called Gambit, which has been looking pretty good in recent Gamescom footage.

If you’re not sure if it’s worth the price of admission though, a free 24 hour trial for Gambit will be held on September 1st at 10 AM PDT, and will be available until September 2nd, 10 AM PDT. The activity will drop Year 1 rewards only. Gambit-exclusive rewards and the Infamy ranking system won’t be available until Forsaken launches on September 4th.

Along with providing a little taste for those on the fence, it’s a good way to keep the current players satiated until the upcoming expansion is out. Destiny 2: Forsaken will arrive for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
